Hi! Iām struggling with an infected eczema patch on my FACE for 2 months in which I keep changing doctors and steroid creams (āthanksā to german healthcare system). I have been on Advantan (Methylprednisolone) for 2 weeks, it didnāt help (obviously) because of the infection. After 1 week pause I was put on Fucicort (Fusidic acid Betamethasone valerate) for 1 week. Couple of days after I stopped it all of these wonderful staph yellow crusts and fluids came back. Went for an appointment to a āfancy private clinicā doctor, who told me that previous shit is too strong to use on face and gave me a new prescription for 1 week, which is InfectoCortiSept (Halometasone Triclosan). From what I have read Halometasone is as potent as Betamethasone valerate, so iām kinda wondering if she made a mistake or is it all good? And the final question is, can my face survive all these rounds of pretty damn potent steroids without being permanently damaged?
PLEASE donāt tell me to ask a doctor or dermatologist, iāve been to a dozen of them with different skin concerns, many of them are delusional idiots (at least here in Germany)! š
