Good evening folks of Reddit!
A little while ago I did a review on the CoilArt AzeRoth RTA and I was really impressed with it, the triple coil deck allows for some serious vapor production and flavor that I don't think I have had from any other tank before. Well, with the success of the RTA,CoilArt went ahead and released the AzeRoth RDA which, just like the RTA, is a triple coil build deck, almost identical to the other. They were generous enough to send one over so that I can share my thoughts with you folks! So thank you CoilArt for another great product. I have been using this for a while now, and I can say that it will not dissapoint. This will be a fairly short review as I have pretty much covered the performance and designs of the deck before on the RTA. There is some slight performance differences here but other than that, the two are near identical.
Let's take a look at the AzeRoth RDA.

Packaging
This comes packaged just like any other CoilArt product I have received. The front sleeve has an image of the RDA, CoilArt branding and the AzeRoth lettering written across as well. Authenticity scratch off is on the back along with package contents. The box just has a top cover that you pull up and off. Inside the AzeRoth is packaged into a nice foam cutout, with the vape band and spares bag to the side and the allen key to the far edge. Overall, this is pretty normal packaging procedure from CoilArt, well presented and thought out.
First Impressions
Initial inspection shows that there is no residue of machine oil anywhere, there are no chips of metal that I can see anywhere and the 510 threading looks fine. The cap was a bit tough to get off at first but once I got it free and later put juice in there, it clicked back on without any resistance and came back off easily. The cap clicked back into place and was well secured with no movement. The build deck was nice and tight, nothing loose or misaligned. There is some nice weight to this little RDA, it feels really well made. The deck looks larger but pretty much identical in design to the RTA version. Since I already am familiar with building the RTA, the RDA should be even easier. The design is really nice. The one I got is all black. The side of the cap has the CoilArt logo etched in deep. The drip tip is nice and solid, sits in there nicely and does not move. There are some neat little notches cut out around the whole top edge of the cap which I think is a nice little aesthetic feature.
The Deck
So this is what makes this RDA special, just like the RTA. The deck is post-less and set up for triple coil but with the aid of a little information card and the images on it, you can also run this in single and dual coil mode off the same deck. One set of terminals is milled right into the deck while the other gold plated set of posts sits in place and is fastened via the 510 connector. The only real tricky part of the whole building process is getting the coils legs trimmed to the proper length When doing this I just get one coil fitted properly, than match up the other two coils by laying them alongside the already trimmed coil. This gets them all to the same length. Than you just simply drop each leg down into the post hole and tighten it down. Than from there it is just a matter of positioning the coils equally. The wicking portion is also very easy, each wick end just slips down into the wick channel. I was able to stick with my normal method of scottish roll with this RDA. One thing that I really love about the triple coil setup with a scottish roll is that the wicks seem to take forever to go dry. With so much cotton packed into each slot,2 wick ends per slot so 2x the normal amount of cotton., you can really load up the juice into this RDA and keep going for a while. I found myself, multiple times pulling the cap off to drip more and not needing to in the slightest. There isn't much else I can say about this deck that I did not already say before. It's fantastic and I love the way it's set up. Once you get used to trimming the legs down fairly short, you should not have any issues.
The Airflow
Just like the RTA, the RDA three spots for airflow intake. One in front of each coil(side airflow). Each one has 3 holes that are fairly decent in size. The amount of airflow on this RDA is as expected for a triple coil, it's very airy wide open and a little loud. The flavor that I get off this RDA is pretty substantial, just as it was on the RTA. I had the same flavor in a normal dual coil RDA and I was picking up enhanced notes of flavor off the AzeRoth that were faint or barely noticeable on the other. I am a pretty big supporter of side airflow RDA's, for a few reasons. They do not leak if you over drip, they seem to provide better flavor overall and they don't leak when you over drip!. Overall, I got exactly what I was expecting with the airflow, nothing more and nothing less.
Final Conclusion
I basically knew that I was going to enjoy this RDA even before I go it, It's performance is similar to the RTA, almost identical. The flavor between the two is pretty much the same but the vapor production is a bit more on the RDA,because it's an RDA. CoilArt seems to be on a roll with product releases lately and I can't wait to see what they come out with next. I would definitely recommend this to just about anyone. While it can be run dual or single, I do not think you would get the same experience as with the triple. I ran triple N80 fused claptons and the flavor was excellent..
