Note: I posted this in r/shopify also but often don't get answers so thought I might post here also.
So today I deleted the Shopify Manifest app from my store because it was a worthless piece of junk. However, I do still need a way to generate and print manifests or USPS scan sheets. I searched through the app store but was overwhelmed with a billion fulfillment apps that do way more than I need. I am configured to use the discounted postage labels available in Shopify and happy with that. All I need is a way to generate and print the manifests.
Ideally I would enter the from and to dates for the orders I want included in the manifest. I am fully aware of the USPS rules about what can be included in a manifest/scan sheet, so the app needs to trust me that I did it right. (If I didn't, the post office will let ME know, haha!) I need to be able to enter dates, because while I strive to fulfill my orders within 24 hours, there are times when I can't get to them until a day or two after they're placed. The app can check that the postage labels were generated within the past 24 hours, but it needs to allow orders older than that. (Basically trust me that I know what I'm doing, and the Shopify Manifest app doesn't.)
I'm willing to use either a Shopify app or something external (but it looks like all apps that do this kind of thing need to be integrated into your platform). Is there a way to simply use a MS Word template with some way to generate the barcode, for example?
