I'm updating my online store with a new Shopify theme, but my question isn't really specific to Shopify. The theme allows me to enter sizing info into a text box or link a file which then displays on the product page. If I enter a chart as plain text, all the spacing gets squished out because of course this is web/html and it looks like a hot mess. I can pretty easily make the chart an image file and do it that way, and that seems to be what's most advised when I Google searched for this issue. However, I don't see a way to add alt text to it so it won't be ADA-compliant.
I hear too many stories about small online shops getting threatened with lawsuits by ADA-chasing attorneys, and I don't want to be one of them. Does anybody here have a reasonable solution to this?
