I am planning on offering digital downloads. The customer should be able to either download the content/file they want after they paid or sign up to the subscription for x amount of time. (With the option to purchase additional digital products as well.) Then, with the subscription they would receive the link or file automatically, without me sending them.

Can you help me finding the best platform for this? First I looked at Shopify (they have some digital download plugin), but they don't seem to have this kind of subscription service. Easy digital downloads seems good? Any other provider like gumroad? Can you recommend one over the other?

I have access to web hosting, some basic skills setting a self hosted WordPress page up but would prefer an easy-ish option.
