Ecologists, do you study resilience or transient phenomena? If so, what tools do you use for that work and what systems to you work in?
Post Body

I've come across a lot of fairly broad papers in this area coming from ecology, but I feel like most of them deal with it as an abstraction (partially because I'm a math person and so that's the papers I'm attracted to!). I'm curious if you're an ecologist and you're studying resilience or transience, what tools do you use and what ecological systems do you study the resilience of? Not opposed to reading papers if you've written on the topic.
