So, a little over a year ago, I bought my first eBike, an Ecotric hammer, and have been hooked ever since. 2 months into ownership, I was riding in the bike lane, and was struck by a car. Fortunately, the hammer is built fairly stout and took the brunt of the impact leaving me with only minor injuries. It's been sitting in the shed with its bent up rear wheel and various scrapes and scuffs and I've gone and ordered a CYC X1 Pro in the hopes of breathing new life and better performance out of it. My question is, has anyone ever attempted conversion of a hub drive eBike to middrive and if so (besides replacing the rear wheel), what are any gotchas or pitfalls I might encounter? it seem like it's going to be fairly straight forward, as I took the measurements and sent the specs to CYC but I'm trying to build expectations so hence, this post. Thanks in advance, reddit!
