Churches on the east side?
Post Body

I'm new to the Eastside and I'm confused by the Christian churches out here. I am used to seeing churches with denominations clearly stated - Catholic, Methodist, Unitarian, etc. but these churches have modern sounding names "Evergreen Church", "Alliance Church" "Living Hope Church", etc. What's the deal with this? Is there some new religious denomination I'm unaware of? Why are there so many of them? Is the Eastside super religious?
