Relocating to the Seattle area and need advice on where to live
Post Body

Hey everyone, my wife and I are relocating to Seattle from st louis early 2024. We've done some research but are overwhelmed with all the choices and are looking for some input to help us with our decision.

She works remotely and my job will be in North Bothel. I would prefer not to have a crazy commute which I've heard may be impossible if staying in the city.

We are early 30s with no kids. Enjoy the occasional night out but aren't too concerned with a crazy nightlife scene. We do love being able to walk to restraunts, parks, bars, shopping etc, which concerns some about the suburbs. We also really enjoy outdoor recreation which being on the east side sounds like the place to be.

A few places we've looked into are Freemont and SLU in the city or Kirkland/Redmond/Bothel/woodinville/Sammamish/Issaquah on the east.

Any insight into these places or how the commute would be to bothel would be awesome.

Comments

Look at north bothell, Kirkland and the surrounding areas. Know you'll be competing for homes who have kids because of the school districts. Kenmore is also good, NE corner of Shoreline, perhaps Sheridan Beach. If you want something cheaper than that, look along Lake City Way.
