I live in Canada and I’m planning to go NYC for a few days. I’m going to get a eSIM but my question is when I buy my eSIM, do I have to activate it in Canada before my trip or do I have to activate in NYC when I get there? Just cause I went to Miami a few months ago and I got a eSIM from Airalo and I tried activating the eSIM there. Although it said it was working, nothing was working and I had to use my wifi to go online there. It was very frustrating as for some reason i was not able to text and use social media apps even though it said it was connected and activated. I just don’t want to have the same problem as before.
