Noob Question: Adding an eGPU as an accelerator to a laptop or desktop for 8K Video Editing?
Post Body

Hi All!

I am interested in upgrading my pc. I have my eyes on this one:

-------------------------------------------

Edit* Sorry I was not clear. Thank you for the feedback so far!

My plan is to buy Nuc12 or similar with dGPU of RTX3070. Then in the future, add an eGPU to this set up via thunderbolt, if needed for 8K editing. So basically running eGPU like an accelerator.

--------------------------------------------

I use Dacincii Resolve as my main video editing software. I mainly do 4K, but I am interested in 8K projects as I just got a Canon R5C.

Is it possible to add eGPU to an existing system with dedicated GPU? Can it help with 8K editing?

Thank You
