So I got the aorus gaming box yesterday , I'm using it with a Dell XPS 9370 uhd laptop. I download the drivers and the utilities along with the firmware . I did not bother to get into the firmware thinking it may not make a difference but i had some low FPS so maybe so . When i go and download firmware F1.0 it bring me to the thunderbolt fw tool and when it want me to browse for "select fw image" I go to the one specified in the tutorial and it reads error " this image is from another image file " I found a PDF saying use a older thunderbolt firmware but that wont let me cause my laptop wont let me delete the updated thunderbolt 3 , it keeps just popping up after deleted and when I try and use the old downloaded firmware , a window immediately pops up before the installation window and states that the there is a newer version and then re adds the most recent .
So im at a loss. Is this effecting the lower fps ? do I really need this firmware update and does ANYONE have any suggestions on what to do ?
P.s im in the windows developer program (thought of everything and maybe thats the issue?)
