Just sold a shirt for about $40. Buyer had zero feedback and was in Brazil. I wasn’t too worried. I’d say about 1 in 20 items I sell go to new buyers and I also sell a lot overseas via global shipping and I’ve never had a problem, although I am aware of them. That’s not my responsibility to vet buyers, it’s eBay’s. Anyway, the package is on its way to eBay’s global shipping hub and now the buyer disputes saying “didn’t recognize transaction”. eBay had given me the money days earlier but now have taken it back “on hold”. I’ve had disputes in the past where eBay didn’t take the money back and promised “seller protection”. Why is this time different? Has anyone ever had this happen? Is there a way I can contact eBay, potentially to halt the shipping of the item to Brazil (it hasn’t arrived at global shipping yet, it’s supposed to Friday)? If it’s a legit dispute I’m happy to take the item back but I’m gonna be annoyed if they just ship it off while I’m also out my money.
