I would like to nominate my 9 year old, Autistic son Jayden for an iPad because he is bullied in school due to his lack of social skills. Jayden is in 4th grade, and also suffers from asthma, GERD, OCD, ADHD, allergies, ear problems and now anxiety. The bullying has begun to take it's toll on Jayden. My once eager to learn child has become unmotivated, and anxious about going to school. The bullying has affected his attendance, his self-esteem, and his overall outlook, and I would like to help him turn this around. Jayden is a very smart, kindhearted child, with a great personality once you get to know him, but that's the thing, not many kids have the patience for getting to know a child on the spectrum. I know that the iPad has many applications that can help Jayden with his social skills, as well as many other areas, which is why I am asking please, if Jayden is picked help us help him! Every child deserves a friend, and I would love to see the look of happiness and excitement on my son's face when he finds his. My hubby and I are both disabled and on a very tight budget. Please help Jayden find friendship! Thank you for doing this!
