I nominate my 9 yr old, Autistic son, Jayden V. for an iPad because he's at school due to his lack of social skills & his "stimming." The iPad has many apps on it that help kids on the Spectrum w/ issues like Jayden.
Post Body

Please consider Jayden as both my hubby and I are disabled and cannot afford to purchase one for him. Jayden often sounds like a little professor. Adults love him, and so do most kids, just not enough to actually be friends. Jayden is often the brunt of bullying at school, and he is so naive to the situations socially, that he often doesn't even realize it until myself or another adult intervenes. Jayden is often the "awkward kid out," due to his stimming. He flaps his hands, rocks, "echos," spins, etc. especially when anxious or nervous. Jayden also suffers from anxiety, asthma, GERD, allergies and ear problems. Jayden is an avid reader, and began reading by the age of 2, and has not placed a book down since! I know that an iPad could do so many things for him, like help him socially with special apps, allow him to read, research and expand his interests in various subjects, and even play games. I wish that I could afford one myself for him, but we can't. So please, just consider him. Thank you!
