Hi Everyone, I’m hoping you can advise in the right direction. My e46 will randomly not be able to start, I assumed battery of course. Nothing is left on, however when we jump start then it starts up fine. So we assumed definelty battery. However we found out today that the car started, randomly decided to test as the last time I tried it was “dead” so I wondered, and checked on these cables attached, their loose? And with a little wiggle I can remove the positive and negative. I found that if I place it proper then the car starts up, so I’m now assuming it’s those connections, does it simply need to be tightened? Iv tried but it’s not that easy, won’t budge. But just wanna know if that’s possible, that a loose connection there will stop the car from starting? Because it’s not like loose that it will just come off, it needs a solid wiggle and lift you know. But I could be wrong maybe all it needs a tightening?
Furthermore, I found that random pink/red pipe sticking out when I lifted the battery, any idea what that is???
