I luckily made a playlist for songs that I can listen and cry to when I feel "the suddenly strong upcoming wave of sadness" starting. Usually when this happens I'm laying down/go to lay down, play a song that will conjure up some tears and try my best to let the tears flow, embrace the "wave".
It always feels in these moments the level of "low" feels more prominent, and my loneliness shines brighter.
These segments seem to last maybe 15-30 mins, I don't remember if it's lasted longer or not. And then after all is said and done: the "wave" suddenly goes away, (as if God themself lifted the parasite off of me) and I feel a little better than before and during, but left confused.
I wish during these moments I can cry more but my brain and body doesn't let me. Anybody else experience this? What are your go to "depression songs"?
