Gen5Outsize vs. V11-style Outsize

A few months ago I tried the Gen5Outsize at a Dyson store in the mall and don't remember it being too heavy in the hand. This past week I was at Costco and tried the older style Outsize that they have on sale. The older V11 style Outsize seemed much heavier in the hand. I don't remember this being the case with the Gen5Outsize. Is there a difference in the weight? I have a big house so I'd like the wider floor head but I don't every vacuum top to bottom so I don't necessarily need the large bin. I'm wondering if I can just buy the regular Gen5 and order the wider floor head.
