Are Robitussin gel caps good ? Dph or poli I don't know what it means

All I know is at my drugstore I get the Robitussin gel caps and wonder if they are good and what is the difference with other brands ? ( newbie )

DPH is a completely different chemical called diphenhydramine which is a deliriant. DXM is dextromethorphan, a dissociative, and comes in either poli, HBr or freebase forms.

The poli form also known as polistirex is a long lasting formulation. The HBr, or hydrobromide, form of DXM is considered typical and found in a variety of products. The freebase version is more potent by weight as it doesn't contain a hydrobromide moiety and is currently found in RoboTablets exclusively.
