I need help with wild life hunting.

I'm on my 2nd fortress now my 1st got 200 dwarfs and the fps was just horrible, and on my 2nd in the wilderness I saw that camels and ravens are fighting in mass on the bottom of my map, how do I get someone to go down there and bucher the remains for meat and bone? Also my hunter always says failed hunt wild anime needs cage but I have cages.
