I started Dune Messiah maybe a week ago, as soon as I had finished Dune (which I admit, I only finally got around to reading because of how much it influenced The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind...). And oh how glad I am that I did. I devoured Dune, but I took my time with the sequel; I literally just finished Dune Messiah a few minutes ago. So much could be said, so I'll keep it brief. I absolutely loved it. And that ending—superb; it really resonated with me. I heard that this sequel wasn't particularly well-received. Honestly, I think I like it at least as much as the first book—it fulfilled the promises of Dune in a manner far grander than anything I could have imagined. I'm so excited for Children of Dune.
