About the film...
Post Body

Iā€™ve been a fan of Dune since I first read as a 15 years old (I read up until God Emperor), needless to say, Iā€™m pretty thrilled about how the film is looking.

I read the interview with Denis where he states that it will be a 2-film project and that this first film will be roughly half of the first Dune novel, but the film itself will seem like a complete story. So my question is.. HOW. Iā€™m rereading the first novel again, and I canā€™t see a good stopping place. Iā€™m trying to think of where the first film will end and make it seem like a ā€œcomplete storyā€ and Iā€™m just coming up completely empty. I think in order for it to feel like a complete story it would have to be the entirety of the first book. Itā€™s especially concerning since apparently production on a second film hasnā€™t even started yet? Iā€™m canā€™t possibly be the only one thinking about this so..

What do you guys think? Any thoughts or predictions on where in the story the first film will stop?
