Been working on removing tension from my swing, which appeared to be a major issue impacting me (speed/distance, slice, etc) when I took a few lessons. I've managed to soften my grip, but since I tend to "learn by feel" and visualizations, does anyone have tips they use for how loose to keep your arms during a swing? I've heard "like an elephant's trunk swaying" and some others. I hit a few the other day keeping my arms like limp noodles, and I finally felt the actual compression & impact of the ball off the club. So that's what you SUPPOSED to be feeling through impact, right? Is it a matter of keeping your arms as loose as possible without your form collapsing through the back and downswing?
