Vacation Rental Yields
Post Body

I am interested in buying an apartment to be managed by a management company. I have done the research here and found the two with the best by reputation are LUX and GuestReady.

According to this article on Bayut - https://www.bayut.com/mybayut/how-fast-can-you-make-a-profit-on-a-holiday-home-rental-in-dubai/

the purchase price of an apartment can be recouped in 46 months, which seems a bit far-fetched.

Trying to compute some sales listings against short-term rental listings, it looks like 8-20% yield may be possible. The latter 20% being if you can get the best deal, i.e. a distress sale.

All I've found on here is one comment saying they got 12%, but it was an old post.

Does anyone have experience of this? And what yield did/do you get?
