Repair Shop Damaged My Laptop When I Went For Battery Replacement

Post Body

I brought my mom's laptop to get the battery replaced because she's owned it for some years. The shop replaced the battery and called me to tell me it was ready for pick up. I went to the shop last night and one corner of it was dented. It looks like it has been dropped and landed on the corner. It was a sizeable dent and I was pissed upon seeing it. The technician started turning on the computer and it wouldn't come on. The Apple logo would show but it would not progress from there. I waited for around 30 minutes until I told them I'd come back the next day. I think it could be damaged because it was dropped based on the impact left on the corner of the laptop.

My question is, what is reasonable to expect from the shop? When I brought it, the only issue was the battery and now it's not turning on and is physically damaged.
