I’m almost 42 yrs old… I have been through one detox and have done a semi decent job at moderation since I slipped up. Had a work event tonight that turned into a night out.

I had a beer while we hung out at the work thing and saw that my ride was really going to enjoy himself. We left the work event and I had only had one beer in over 2 hours.

Moved on to another bar and CHOSE to only drink soda. There was free booze flying. Was literally handed over 10 drink that I either turned down or accepted and then sat down and didn’t touch.

I am now home and decided I needed to drink…. After seeing all of what I saw. I am now about to take another shot and go to bed.

I don’t think I will ever understand my relationship with alcohol. But I will try to control it.
