I keep reading how dire it can be but Iβve been drinking one to two bottles of wine a day. Have trouble sleeping on only one. But have tapered to one and going to half. The ads for withdrawal clinics keep saying you canβt do it alone. Are they scaremonger. Or is that from a much higher level of drinking
I'd gotten to about a 750ml bottle of liquor each day over the course of all day. Withdrawals would be happening as soon as I woke up, shaking, heart pounding, dry heaving, the whole lot. Needed to go to the doc to get a benzo prescription to make it through quitting that first time. 2 bottles of wine a day isn't good but, I'd say most of the withdrawal clinic ads are a bit scaremongery. Good on you for already cutting back to 1/2 of what you were having ππ I'd say as long as you can still kinda function and feel more hungover than like you're dying, you'll be ok. If your current tapering seems to be working for you, stick to it
