I don’t think enough has been said about the sound quality of the new generation of Dynasty drums, particularly the snares.

The volume, depth of sound, and projection of the snares was objectively light years beyond Pearl, Yamaha, and Tama this year. And it’s not only because Rennick is a master of tuning.

I can’t see that it was staging of the battery, because there was a noticeable difference no matter where they were on the field this year.

It was so markedly better that I thought they were micing their battery this year.

I hope more corps consider switching to Dynasty during the offseason, because they deserve more corps using them.
