Would the Pearl Snare Attachment for MXS-1 Carrier work for a Yamaha MS-6300 Power-Lite Marching Snare Drum?

Hey Drumline Enthusiasts.

I'm a drumline instructor for a couple schools in my area. But i'm also lucky enough to be the instructor for a middle school with a drumline program. Since this is their first year having an instructor with actual DCI and WGI experience, they are trying to get acclamated with having a competitive drumline.

Right now the school has Yamaha MS-6300 Power-Lite Marching Snare Drums (The drums themselves say MS6314U, which I could not find anywhere) Which look like this:

These drums have a carrier/harness specifically designed for this specific drum, they have the same name just with "Carrier" instead of drum. They look like this:

These harnesses... let me tell you... are probably THE WORST harnesses on any market right now. They are height adjustable, but the thing is they don't adjust far enough. They are still too high for some of my middle schoolers.

Not only that, but they are falling apart. They are held together but a couple screws left and right, and don't last one rehearsal. These are 2 year old harnesses by the way...

So i've been wanting to order new equipment for them, but they told me they don't want to spend so much since they are only a few years old. So I want to leave the drums untouched, but maybe I can frankenstein some parts together for better harnesses that fit my players?

I wanted to offer the best harnesses out there right now and IMO that would be the Pearl CX Airframe Carriers.

The problem is, the J Bar attachment would not fit or work with the yamaha powerlite drums, since the mechanism to put on the drum is like a slide-in-the-square type mechanic to put the drum on the harness (see photo).

Slide-in square.

So I did some searching and very deep in the web I found a pearl attachment called the Pearl Snare Attachment for MXS-1 Carrier, which looks like this:

This looks like the perfect attachment to go along with the slide in mechanism of the yamaha drums, you would just have to put it on and screw it/tighten it for it to stay there, and then just use the pearl harness as normal to insert it into the j bars.

What i'm asking is I guess is does anybody recognize this pearl piece and am I thinking of its right intended use or am I wrong? Anybody with some knowledge just so I can get better harnesses for this drum without buying and entirely new drum please?
