Pretty much as the title says...personal opinion, as well.

Drum corps was so much more exciting sheer music and athleticism were on display.

These other things act as filigree - empty filler that doesn't appeal to what dci is and has always been.

Surely, staff and show writers should know that there is a laaaaarge portion of fans who don't like the changes that have been taking place over the last decade ?

Yet they soldier on regardless with more and more of it.

I'm sure I'll get plenty of pushback over this. I'm really only hoping for informative discussion.

Edit: These kids do a great job, and of course, corps still demand athleticism from their members....lord...
