I'm just so excited I have to share.

Back in February I was browsing youtube at 2am and stumbled across this Carolina Crown warm up video. I decided to give it a watch because I marched all through high school and loved it. Well that night I went down the rabbit hole and almost pulled an all nighter. I probably watched Bluecoats 2014 Tilt show 4 times that night alone and god knows how many times since.

The next morning I called my mom, who also was reaaally into marching band and always volunteered when I was a kid. I asked her what she was doing in August. Then I told her she's getting her Mother's Day gift early and booked us tickets for prelims and semifinals in Indianapolis that day. Wish we could do finals but I have to head home for an obligation on Sunday D: coming from California.

Anyways at this point I've watched hours of youtube performances (Tilt is still my favorite) and got a little preview a few weeks back at Corps at the Crest, go Mandarins! They had my favorite show.

August cannot come fast enough. I am actually giddy about this trip. Moreso than I have been for vacations over the last few years lol.

I just had to share because drum corps is freaking awesome!

Oh! And i made my partner come to Corps at the Crest. He really didn't want to. He word for word told me it sounded like a nerd thing. The event was at a high school too so I think he set the bar low, which made it that much better to see his excitement when the Blue Devils and Mandarins performed. Safe to say he also became a DCI fan that night.

TLDR: drum corps is awesome. Wish I had known back when I marched. I'd have auditioned for sure.
