I am very interested in Druidism, and there's a wonderful group here in my city (Portland, OR).
But I often meet people who feel my life here in the inner city is at odds with a connection to nature. My personal feeling is that cities have an energy all of their own, like grooves worn into an old record played by thousands of people over a hundred plus years.
The city is also teeming with life of it's own that goes unnoticed. I feed a flock of crows every morning. Rabbits come out at night. The soil is teaming with earthworms. Every spring brings city bees searching for flowers. Dandelions and wildflower. The life that grows here is incredibly resilient.
Do any of you live in big cities? How do you reconcile your spirituality with a city environment? How do you find connection with the city, the life and land there?
