Any indoor (poppy) grows with success?

I'm following the pdf version of "hydroponic heroin's so I know it's been done at least once haha. But honestly getting discouraged seeing everyone's blooms etc. Live in zone 9B but in an apartment with no access to ground soil etc..started these sometime in May
