Can Pull Documents Out Of Dropbox But Can't Put Back in

Hey guys,
So my boss has a Mac desktop and has been using dropbox for months.
He started having this issue about a month ago - we would upload documents for him to review at home, he would take them out of the dropbox to input his notes, but then Dropbox wouldn't let him put the document BACK into the dropbox or upload it to a folder.
He is not having this issue on his laptop (also a mac).
Has this happened to anyone before? Any advice?
