i (f22) don't drive and it makes me feel embarrassed at work. i just got a job at bank where i get dropped off and picked up from. the bank has large windows all around so you can see eveything in the parking lot. I feel embarrassed getting in/out of the car and having my coworkers all look at me. or when i go on lunch i just leave and sit outside on a bench from the building across the road. they've seen me get dropped off so i have no idea what they think I'm doing at lunch. on top of this, my dad wants me to practice driving home when he picks me up, and i think this is even more embarrassing. having everyone look at me learn how to drive sounds like a nightmare. i just feel so ashamed and childlike compared to everyone else. i hate it.

Every job I’ve worked there’s been at least half the staff without a car. A lot of people are poor in my city, it’s hard to afford a car these days (especially where I live). Genuinely nobody bats an eye at this kind of thing
