Car recommendations, will be partner's 1st car for daily use and family use.

I'm looking for advice and suggestions.
My partner is 25 and will be getting her 1st car, this will be used for daily use to work and also family use with our child who is under 2.
Ideally looking of a max budget 5.5k.
Petrol ideally, something which is big enough that the big child seat and kickstand won't affect the front passenger seat to much.
Looked at fiesta and focus not interested, looking for large hatchbacks, estates and saloons
