This is total tinfoil hat that I just thought of. Prove it wrong or improve it.

What if all of Harry's benefactors/antagonists are all in on a conspiracy to get Harry ready for something they all know is coming? Ebenezar, Mab, Lea, the Gatekeeper, the Merlin, Odin, Uriel, Hades, Nicodemous, etc?

We kind of suspect they all want Harry to succeed, but they all know something Harry doesn't. They also all push him to 'level up'.

That would mean, that all the people 'sponsoring' Harry know what the coming battle is. They saw it, almost before he was born. They know what he, specifically has to be able to do, and have been grooming him for decades. Justin wasn't undetected - he was intentional. Ebenezar being at odds with him is an act. Mab getting the winter knight was planned. 'Changes' was a test. The Merlin is pretentious, but not a dick. The Denarians are scared enough to side with the council in a conspiracy to manipulate one wizard.

The wildcards that these players couldn't guess are Molly, John Marcone, the Alphas, the Archive, Goodman Grey, Demonreach, and the paranet. Harry is doing things they can't predict and making them all nervous that the weapon they are crafting is shifting out of their control.

This would all point to a giant reveal, and, if this is anything close to right, this isn't going to go how all these entities want. They were hoping to mold a starborn into something they could aim at the Outsiders, and instead they are creating a force unto its own.

I am aware that this is somewhat abstract, but it frames the series as much "Us vs. Outsiders" as "Harry vs both Outsiders and Establishment(?)".

Or maybe I'm crazy.

Edit: I think I'm being misunderstood here. The tinfoil in thisnis that they are all actually working together. Not that, "Yes, but they aren't...".

It's not a conspiracy if they aren't colluding.
