Help me destroy my latest theory

Post Body

I'm thinking this through and it's still to fragmented for me to wrap my head around, so I need some help. Seriously, SPOILERS ALL.

Spirits, and mortals can have their spirit energy consumed to benefit the eater. The Nightmare takes a bite of Mickey Malone. Dresden eats it at Bianca's. The Darkhallow is basically a smorgasbord to make a new dark god. Ghost Story sees Corpsetaker eat and be eaten. It keeps happening.

Originally, we thought that the Nightmare was the spirit of a Demon. Which we learn is theoretically possible, even though demons technically aren't from our world (but aren't Outsiders). They're supposed to die and just there worldly incarnation dies, and the spirit of the demon goes off to whereever it came from.

Harry is starborn, as is Drakul, and Listen. Everyone seems to want their own starborn, and the best reason we know so far is that they can resist, and maybe even harm Outsiders.

Kemmler developed the Darkhallow, and "died" 7 times. Theories abound on Justin, Simon, Kemmler, and his apprentices (please table them, if not related to this post).

So.... if a Starborn could kill and Outsider my presumption would be that it's "spirit" would yoink ff back to the Outside, similar to demons going back to their personal hellscapes.

AND HERE IT IS

What if there were a way to prevent an Outsider from leaving, and kill it, keeping it's spirit here, and a Kemmlerite could then eat an Outsider? Wouldn't that be a power level WAY beyond the Darkhallow?

But that's silly, you say! How could that be.

Demonreach. I don't think that the Outsiders in Cold Days wanted to free the prisoners of the Well. I think they wanted to join them. And if their spirits were imprisoned there, they would not return and could safely be eaten - thus permanantly being Inside the Gates and succeeding in tearing the Gates down.

And I think this was Kemmler's plan - as warden of Demonreach originally. And still is, whereever or whomever he is now.

The dumb Kemmlerites only thought about human spirits for the Darkhallow. Kemmler wanted the whole shebang.

  1. Mab opposes this because Outsiders coming into this world.

  2. Nicodemus opposes this because this would be a world ending event - a Dark Eternity that wasn't the apocalypse the Denarians plan.

  3. The White Council, and many others, keep hiding the starborn stuff from Harry, because in a way it's imperative he doesn't know that he could kill and Outsider, because then he might - in his seat of power, Demonreach, and him knowing this could catalyze the whole thing.

  4. Why was Justin playing around with Outsiders? He knew more than the other Kemmlerites via Bob about Kemmler's purpose.

  5. What the heck does the Red Court have to do with this? Did.... did someone eat all the dead vampires? Would we know if they had?

So, that is my current tinfoil. It ties the a lot of Grave Peril threads up in a bow. We see a lot of it start there. And it covers us up to BAT.

Go ahead. Tear it apart.
