im annoyed about an item (spoilers ahead for late game)

In the late game you aquire the Flame of the sky, and while it's really cool and was super fun to get, it annoys me that it doesn't fit in the top teir hull front mount.
My ocd already kicks in with how the engines are off to the side and how nothing can be flipped to help them fit in certain slots. (I still LOVE this game though) But having a late game item not fill the slot like the previous teir item does? It's just annoying. But oh well, what can you do.
