I have a pink hello kitty edition whete the color is fading, any fixes?

As the title states, I have a pink hello kitty edition Dreamcast where the color is fading on the side of the shell (possibly sun damaged?) was wondering if there was a way to restore this or if I need to buy a new shell? (Hopefully not, I really do like the hello kitty edition design)
