What do you do to stay safe at con? I don’t mean condoms, lol, I mean people with bad intentions.

This year I’ll be bringing pepper spray, but I don’t exactly want to spray that in the crowds/hotels and ruin everyone’s day.

Also, I heard a couple weeks ago that there is a group that helps people walk to and from locations safely at con. Does anyone know the name of this group by chance?

Edit: BC of the comments and DM’s I’ve received: I was cornered in a room with an aggressive guy last year with clearly bad intentions. He would not let me leave for almost a half hour until I finally threatened him with the police.I have been stalked IRL back home. So yes, these are actual concerns of mine. You can talk all the precautions in the world, but as a young female I don’t feel safe going to con anymore, or even driving home, so unfortunately I do need to do something for my safety.

I had hoped a post asking how to be safe at Con would have garnered more positive attention here.
