I was a panelist on the Small, Encapsulated Board Games panel alongside another Bob, and a man named David Sherrer. Without giving too much detail, we were asked a question by an attendee who had a family member with cognitive issues. They wanted to know what were some board games that they could play with them. I saw David's hand reaching for a copy of his game before they even finished asking, and he immediately gave them a copy for free, and explained different ways it could be played that would enable their family member to take part. Then a bunch of folks in the crowd threw in their own suggestions, and we were able to crowdsource a number of great options.
To me that's the magic of Dragon Con. It's nerdy as hell, and at it's core, all about coming together. It's folks being nice to absolute strangers, just because they can. Every time I come, there is some moment like this, and it makes me fall in love with you people all over again.
So yeah, if you want to support a really nice guy (who, to be clear, is in no way affiliated with me beyond being the meat in a Bob panel sandwich) HERE is where you can get a copy of his game, Cat Magic.
