So I’m playing a male Qunari mage inquisitor and it’s really come to my attention how racist Solas is. I’m hostile with him right now because of my choices (allying with the templars, some of my sentencing decisions, grey wardens, etc). I prompted a conversation with him after here lies the abyss and he started talking about how terrible Qunari are and how he’s right that they’re all terrible and as soon as it gave me the option to punch him I took it because of the stance my inquisitor takes on shit like that. I feel like he’s such a good antagonist type but at the same time there’s so much I dislike about him. Like he’s such an intriguing character who you’d love to have a discussion about issues and politics with and honestly he does have one of the most interesting arcs in the game but god he rubbed me wrong in this play through. I don’t hate him but damn he’s super vocal about how terrible you are and this whole play through just gave me such mixed feelings on his character and I wondered if anyone had thoughts of the same.
