Post Body

So this is probably going to be long and hopefully the formatting isn't going to be all fucked up because I am typing this on my phone.

To begin, I have two theories that could either work together or not. Or both be partially true. I believe that Solas either lied about the Evanuris or was himself unaware of certain things. I mean one of his arguments is that the elven gods were just mortal mages which you know sure....but he himself mentions Mythal who somehow not only survived her death at hands of these powerful beings but was able to wonder the Fade and get to Flemeth. Doesn't really help his point. So my theory is that the Evanuris were actually special but not divine, they have however achieved reality bending powers (different from everyday magic).

I believe the war that made the Evanuris into gods was a war between the Titans and their slaves the Dwarves and the Elves. And killing a Titan and getting their heart was instrumental for the Evanuris to become "gods" Remember the painting of an elf slaying what is probably a titan, striking his heart And then being surrounded by Gold (often used as symbol of divinity in DA). The elf also holds a round object. I believe this is of the Foci made out of a Titans heart. They can harness magical energy over time but I believe they also had a different purpose The titans can work and mold the physical world easily now combine that with the power of dreams and whoever controls this power truly will be godlike. This is were Dreamers come in btw.

  1. Theory: Now this is a time when the Waking and the Dreaming world are basically one. The power of the Fade/magic must be super effective. But the similar is also true in the other direction. Every elf is mage but I also believe they are all Dreamers as well, their will, thoughts, feelings are not just reflected by the Fade but also they control it (even to this day Dreamers can be super fucking powerful, now imagine Thedas before the Veil). I believe the Evanuris used to foci to literally use the power of the dreams of their thankful followers (all Dreamers) to gain unimaginable power (even for a magic civ) and finally proclaimed themselves gods.

  2. Theory: kinda similar just that instead of everyone being Dreamers, the Evanuris used their foci to channel the collective dreams of their followers the power of the Titans heart to make themselves into Dreamers in a world before the creation of the Veil - which would probably make them extremely powerful.

For both theories: also remember that Dorian mentions that he saw similar orbs in Tevinter and he even says they are called The Vessels of Dreams๐Ÿ˜. The reason why they are not turning the Magisters wielding them into godlike being is either a) they have deterioted over time, b) they were made the magisters not from a titan's heart but something weaker or c) the lack of Dreamers and the existence of the Veil divinding the two worlds.

Okayy. My rant is done๐Ÿ˜
