Down Syndrome Barbie
Post Body

Okay, how do y'all feel about it? I think it's great in that there's more representation for children to see. I recently bought the DS Barbie for my little cousin, who absolutely loves Barbie dolls. I want her to have a wide variety of ones that are different to her so she can have a more compassionate outlook on the world and those that are different than her. She's got some Barbies and Kens of a variety of skin tones and races, and I think she's got at least one that's in a wheelchair, so I wanted to get her the DS Barbie. My only (and idk if I have the right to complain about this) is that the DS Barbie only has one design so far in terms of hair and skin tone and gender, so they could possibly add more to the line of dolls. I just wanted to see what y'all thought, because I personally wish I had something like this as a kid to raise more awareness about those that are different than me.

Picture of the doll, which, I personally think is super adorable. There's always room for improvement, but the company and designers tried their best and are branching out, so it's progress, but things could always improve!
