I had the opportunity to go to Costco for the first time today! I had the hotdog which was fine and I know we're in Dogbarktober but I think I need to address the chicken bake because it's been a source of contention in these trying times.
Okay so the first thing to address is the bread and breadiness, which was a pain point of the DB review. There is a toasted cheese layer on the bread which tastes great and smells fabulous. I think that it is not more bready than your favorite sub, hoagie, or other sammich.
The filling is a chicken and cheese as far as I can tell is is damn good. I'd be interested in a buffalo variant or maybe sriracha but perhaps those are dreams of a mad man.
As I eat this chicken bake the toasted cheese aroma tempts my nostrils and very core of existence. I ache to take another bite. Hotdogs be damned, I feel extreme pain for dismissing those dogs, those dogs of war. But God damn me the chicken bake has awakened things in me, things I once thought dead. My hunger sated, my curiosity sated, my lust for life, sated. We could say that I am a victim of biases, skewed by outside forces. I'm just here to say the chicken bake is a damn good sammich.
