I got to try the new spicy chicken McNuggets the other day. I'm something of a heat-seeker and had to try them. I ordered a cheeseburger and a six piece nuggets (they won't do a four piece spicy for some reason). I also got a diet Coke. To go along with the McNuggets the Mighty Hot Sauce was also released, which I got.
Having eaten a couple of the nuggets dry, I can tell you they don't register as being spicy to me. I might even not be able to tell them apart from the normal ones. The flavor is so similar one won't necessarily be disappointed in flavor, there just isn't any heat.
The Mighty Hot Sauce helps out in the heat department. It is a very vinegary, moderately sweet hot sauce. It's got a fair amount of heat, especially for a mass market fast food sauce. It might not satisfy the heat-seeker, but for the average consumer it does the job.
Should you buy them? I think they're at least worth a try to assuage one's curiosity. Getting the Mighty Hot sauce is mandatory if you're looking for heat. Speaking of hot sauces, does anyone remember the habenero sauce they had several years ago? That stuff had legit heat and was tasty. I think I'd bee happier if they brought that back, introduced Mighty Hot sauce, and left the nuggets along. What do you think?
