Transitioning between pizzicato and arco?

I have a performance coming up that utilises both pizzicato and arco, and I was looking for tips on how to segue gracefully from pizzicato to arco.

The piece is mainly pizzicato but I will need to pick up the bow for arco sections. There is some pizz in one of the arco sections so I will need to figure out how to hold the bow whilst plucking the strings, and be able to switch back to arco quickly.

I was thinking about having the bow on the music stand, perhaps hanging from the hooks. How do YOU switch between arco and pizz r/doublebass?
