Changes to being automatically paused?

The way the app pauses me after declining orders has completely changed. Yesterday was the same as it had been for a while: it would pause after roughly 10 declines, special screen came up, 10 minute timer. Today, it's pausing after 3-4 declines, bringing up the screen that comes up when I mainly pause the app, and most concerning to me, the 35 minutes timer isn't resetting. It's been what, at least a year maybe, since they changed it to restart the timer every time you paused. I've stopped and restarted the app, and restarted my phone, and it's still doing it. Does anyone know if this is going to be a permanent change?
