Did my dasher just text himself pretending to text the recipient and stole the food???

ordered food for someone else, I chose from the app to send it as a gift. I asked the dasher to text the recipient about it. He said he texted the recipient but when he sent me a "proof" of the message he sent the recipient, the number that shows being texted above is the dasher's number, not the recipient's number. Was he texting himself to fake reaching out to the recipient? I have no way to confirm with the recipient atm but this was weird and afraid the order was stolen. I had a second order and when the second dasher sent me a proof of contact it did show the recipient's actual number.

I am not sure if there is some explanation for this but please help.
